Seven service lines, five of them documented here.
Each page below covers what the work involves, how it is done, and photographs from jobs where it was done. The two lines without a page yet are ones we have not photographed to the same standard.

Access control
You get doors that lock and release the way you asked for, and a written record of how they were built: which controller port runs which door, which reader sits on which cable, where each power supply and its battery live. The photographs on this page are our own work. What decides whether an access system is still manageable in year three is behind the wall and inside the cabinet, and a reader beeping at the door tells you nothing about that half of it.

Structured cabling
EKB Network pulls, terminates, tests and labels Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A and fiber for commercial and industrial properties across South Florida. Pathway goes in before cable. Drops are pulled in one continuous length. Both ends are terminated and tested, and each port gets a printed name that matches the outlet, the cable and the port list you keep. The photographs on this page are our own installs, so you can judge the standard before you call.

Security cameras
Two cameras that cost the same can do completely different jobs. One lets you identify the person standing at a door; the other tells you a vehicle was in the parking area overnight and not much else. EKB Network installs commercial security camera systems across Miami and South Florida around that distinction, and around the cable, the switching and the labelling that decide whether the footage is there on the day somebody goes looking for it.

Network rack cleanup
We rebuild the network closet your business already runs on, in place, without swapping out your equipment. Each existing cable is traced back to what it actually feeds before anything moves, the panels, switches, recorder and rack outlets get printed labels, the slack is dressed and supported, and you keep the port list at the end. What you are buying is a room the next technician can read instead of unplug.

Video walls
A video wall is mostly the parts you stop seeing once the panels are on. We build that side as well as hanging the screens: the backer, the mounts, the recessed box and network run at each position, and the source equipment feeding all of it, which is the half that usually gets handed to somebody else. The photographs on this page are our own installs. What comes out of it is an array that reads flat, seams that stay straight, a numbered run to every screen, and a wall a single panel can come out of without disturbing the ones beside it.
Questions that come up on every job
- How long will the work take?
- Access to the space decides this more than the work does. In an empty or unfinished building a crew moves continuously and the job runs to plan. In a business that stays open, the schedule is set by when we are allowed into the ceiling, the closet and the rooms your customers use, so the same quantity of work spreads across more visits. We quote in visits rather than in days, and say what each visit closes off.
- Can the work happen outside our business hours?
- Yes, and on some jobs it is the only sensible way. Restaurants, retail and offices that cannot lose a trading day get evening or weekend visits. Tell us before the quote rather than after, because out of hours work changes how the job is staged, not only what time the crew arrives.
- Can you use the equipment we already have?
- Usually, and where it still does its job we would rather you kept it. Switches, recorders, panels and cameras that work stay. What we will tell you is when a specific piece of equipment is the reason you keep having the same fault, so the decision is yours with the cost in front of you instead of a surprise later.
- What drives the cost?
- Pathway and access, far more often than parts. Getting a cable from one end of a finished building to the other is the expensive half: what has to be cored, fished, surface mounted or worked around. Two jobs with the same equipment list can land a long way apart because one building is open and the other is not.
- What happens if something stops working later?
- Call us. Every port, panel and outlet is labelled and you keep the list of what feeds what, so a fault is normally traced to one run rather than to a whole system. That is the difference between a service visit and an investigation.
